8 Simple Tips - How to Increase Website Traffic

Rule No #1 Content Is King on the Internet, and Dont Forget This !!!!

I guess everyone wishes they knew the trick to attracting thousands of visitors to their website on a daily basis. Im sure a lot of use wish we could by a book that promissed to put us on the front page of Google. If there was such a book, how do you expect everyone o be listed on the first page of google. I guess we cant all be in the top 10 positions. I can promise you from personal experience that it is not that easy to get to the top of Googles List. I also wish that I knew every trick in the book, but I don’t.

I have however found a few things that do help increase website traffic. These are more like general rules, things that you should always take into consideration when designing and setting up your business website. The most important rule is “What You Put in, is What You Get Out”. Don’t stop adding new content to your website. Content is King !!, and the more useful information you can give to your website readers, the better website traffic you will receive.

Yes, there are lots of ways to attract huge amounts of traffic to your website, but I strongly believe that you can attract a lot of visitors without spending a cent, or getting involved in dirty scams. By giving your personal website daily attention, monitoring your results, and adding great content, you will soon be able to compete with some of the best websites out there.

Content:

Content is King on the Internet, and a great way to increase website traffic. This is the first and most of all tips you will ever read. No matter what other people say, good content is the heart of a successful website. Offer any free, original, good quality content on your site, and this will definitely increase traffic to your website.

Keywords:

Use keyword phrases throughout your website content, instead of individual keywords. Make sure the keywords are included in each article, and flow naturally within the text on each article. Over stuffing keywords will result in a very low search ranking for your website.

Links:

Trading links with other websites will surely help with increasing website traffic. This is a very important part of maintaining a website. Make sure you only link to relevant websites on the Internet that will help your visitors learn more about your product, or the service provided, or you will get unwanted traffic. The main idea is to get these people to link back to you, thus forming a Backlink. These Backlinks increase your page rank and online popularity.

Article Submissions:

Write a great article to help attract traffic. Make sure the content is actually helpful to the readers, and not just another sales pitch on the Internet. Give your readers useful tips, and information that will help them develop their skills, or better themselves.

Submit a Press Release:

Do you have something the media should know about? Tips on starting a new company, tips on launching a new product, or a discovering something new. Submit a press release. There are many high traffic free websites on the Internet that accept fresh press releases.

Social Bookmarking:

Try interacting with other people on social networks, news sites and commenting on blogs. There will always be crowds of people on these online communities. It’s a great place to leave links to your website, or chat about a certain topic.

Classified Adverts:

Post an advert on anyone of the Free Classifieds found on the Internet. Make sure your headlines really grab the attention of potential clients, or visitors. Use very descriptive words when advertising the benefits of visiting your website right now! If possible add a link directly to the page you would like them to see. Most classifieds only post adverts for a short period of time, so regularly update, or post new adverts to keep at the top of the list.

Traditional Advertising:

The best advertising is still word of mouth, and you are only as good as your last job. Don't limit yourself just to advertising on The Internet. Make up business cards, t-shirts, bumper stickers, advertising your site. Speak to as many other people possible about it. Get the word out as much as you can. Attract Lots More Traffic Today!!!

Choosing the Best South African 3G Package for High Internet Usage

MTN 3G Packages

MTN are currently offering a 3GB Lite for R299pm, and 10GB Pro Uncapped for R899pm, 3G packages with the 3G devices included. What this means is that once you have reached your limit, or Internet Cap of 3GB, or 10GB, your internet speed will be throttled down to 256kbps, for the 3G Lite users, and 384kbps, for the 10 GB users.

This is a great offer for most people, but for people like myself that use more than 3GB per month, it won’t really work for me. Once you have reached your Internet Cap, the Internet will become very slow, and frustrating to use.

Vodacom 3G Packages

Vodacom on the other hand, don’t offer a 3G uncapped service. You can choose from a 2GB package from R273pm, or a 2.5GB package from R457pm. Once you have reached your limit, or Internet Cap, you will be billed per MB that you use.

8.ta 3G Packages

8.ta seems to have the best offer at the moment, although it’s not uncapped. They are offering a 10GB pm, 3G package. It’s called the Internet 5 Promo. You will receive 10GB per month, for only R199pm. Once you reach your limit, or Internet Cap, you will be charged per MB.

I personally like 8.ta’s 3G package, as it seems to be the best option at the moment. 10GB is a fair amount of Internet Usage, and for only R199pm, it’s at a good price. I wish that this was an uncapped account, but 10GB is fine, for normal day to day use, and I get the convenience of being mobile.

The sad thing is that I have been using MTN, since cellphones first came out. I would prefer to stay with MTN, and in some ways I like their 10GB Uncapped package, but price wise, its just too much. I hope that one day MTN could offer a 10GB, Uncapped 3G package at close to R200.

Now, that would be a bargin!!!!
